Partnership Stake is an English-language publication about ownership. Accountancy, law and financial advice practices in the UK and Ireland are being bought by private equity-backed groups and consolidators, and we write down who sold, who bought, who stands behind the buyer and what has been disclosed about the stake.
What you will find here
Dated reports of deals, with the parties, the type of transaction and the source set out in a table. Profiles of consolidators, built from public sources and dated. Longer pieces on what a change of ownership does to a partnership, and short explainers of deal terms for partners who have just received an offer.
What we leave out
We do not rate practices, recommend a buyer or tell a partner whether to sell. Partnership Stake does not give legal, tax, accounting or investment advice. Where a figure has not been disclosed, the table says "Not disclosed" rather than offering a guess.
The Editor
The site is run by its Editor, who decides what counts as a deal worth reporting and who approves profiles and corrections. Bylines on individual pieces show who wrote them. Our working method is described in How we source a deal.
Who is behind the site
Publisher: Partnership Stake. Registered details required on a public page:.
How it is funded
The editors keep editorial text separate from outside funding. If paid or externally supplied material is ever published, it is labelled with the name of the third party above the headline and in the teaser; the text is not signed by the editors.
